​District 22 International Service Committee chairman Lynda Wallace and her team of four zone leaders, have decided that for this Inner Wheel year “Smalls for All” will be one of the International charities supported by District 22, writes District 22 editor Yvette Thomas.

It was founded in 2010 because Dignity Matters realised the life-changing difference having the right underwear makes.

Working with National Police Aid Charity (NPAC), ladies’ pants are delivered to many areas in Africa. Without appropriate underwear many girls and women miss out on education or employment.

They are also vulnerable to rape or abuse.

The charity collects all sizes, but those that are needed the most are ladies’ size 8-14 and girls aged 3-15.

The ladies’ pants should be black.

They also collect new or gently worn (laundered) bras of any size, including sports and nursing bras but not cropped-top style or bikini tops.

(By ‘gently worn’ it means bras in good condition that still have good wear left in them.)
