What are your favourite places to visit in Chesterfield and why?

My favorite spots in Chesterfield are Queen’s Park, which makes for a perfect lunchtime retreat from

the office, and Bottle & Thyme for a much-needed coffee and toastie on the way back

How is your business or organisation becoming more sustainable?

Our organisation is committed to sustainability by implementing several impactful initiatives. We prioritize sourcing materials that are made from recycled materials, this can be anything from our carpet tiles which are made from 83.8 per cent recycled content, or our fabrics, some made from 100 per cent recycled polyester and marine waste SEAQUAL® yarn.

I love working in Chesterfield and North Derbyshire because of the strong sense of community, the rich history and character of the area. The blend of urban vibrancy and beautiful countryside creates a unique and inspiring environment to thrive in

How are you supporting young people in your business?

This year, we supported two school work experience placements for students with a keen interest in design. Both were exceptional, and they found the experience highly valuable.

What support or advice has your business received recently and how has it benefited your business?

Recently, our business received invaluable support in the form of expert advice from a business coach, Andy. He has supported in implementing processes and enhancing team collaboration.

This guidance has significantly improved our efficiency and strengthened our ability to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Which upcoming development do you think will have the greatest impact on the town and why?

I believe the upcoming development of the market square will have the greatest impact on the town. Its focus on community, will not only improve the local economy but also enhance the quality of life for residents and attract new businesses and visitors to the area.

What is your vision for Chesterfield and North Derbyshire in 2030? What do you think the town needs to achieve this?

My vision for Chesterfield and North Derbyshire in 2030 is a vibrant, sustainable, and forward-thinking town that poises its rich heritage with modern innovation.

To achieve this, the town needs continued investment in sustainable development, support for local entrepreneurs, and a focus on improving connectivity and green spaces to make it an even more attractive place to live, work, and visit.
