I enjoy visiting Brampton – there are plenty of great venues to socialise with colleagues, family, and friends. I also love that Chesterfield is so close to the Peak District.
Being able to escape into the open countryside and take in the scenery is something I really appreciate.
How is your business or organisation becoming more sustainable?
Weightron has recently installed solar panels on the roof of our headquarters, reducing our reliance on the national grid. I’ve also had the opportunity to help install electric vehicle chargers on-site, contributing to a greener future for the company.

The location is a huge advantage. Being based in the centre of the country makes travel to jobs across the UK much easier. It’s also a great place to live, with everything you need close by.
How is your business supporting young people?
I would highly recommend apprenticeships to young people. They offer hands-on experience, the opportunity to work with experienced professionals, and a direct route to gaining qualifications. You also develop valuable skills such as teamwork and customer communication, which aren’t always covered in a traditional university route.
