What was the greatest achievement for your business or organisation over the past year?

Hide AdOur biggest achievement was acquiring strategic sites in Sheepbridge and Chesterfield. Over the next


12 months, we aim to develop 90,000 square feet of industrial space, delivering much-needed quality stock and encouraging investment in the town.
How would you describe Chesterfield and North Derbyshire, using only three words?
Progressive, industrial and friendly.
What are your favourite places to visit in Chesterfield and why?

The Peak District is a treasure on our doorstep. In town, Ninetyfour Coffee on Chatsworth Road is a favourite, and Chesterfield’s food and drink offering has improved greatly in recent years.
We’re also proud to have recently acquired The Peacock at Owler Bar, which is well worth a visit!
How is your business or organisation becoming more sustainable?
We’re working to incorporate features like electric charging stations and solar energy into our developments. While still in the design phase, we’ve completed land deals with solar operators and are working to adopt greener practices wherever possible.

The area’s location is ideal, with access to the Peak District and excellent connectivity to major cities and businesses. Chesterfield companies also value working with local businesses, which creates a supportive environment.
How is your business supporting young people?
Our sister company, Coverworld, runs a successful apprenticeship program that has brought young talent into our team at Coverland. With an average office age of 30, we enjoy a dynamic culture and aim to give back to the local community.

These developments will help attract businesses, create jobs, and stimulate investment in the area.
What support or advice has your business received recently, and what has been the impact of it?
We’ve greatly benefited from working with Chesterfield Borough Council’s inward investment team, which brings valuable inquiries to our properties. Destination Chesterfield also provides excellent networking opportunities through events and roundtables.

Hide AdWhich upcoming development do you think will have the greatest impact on the town and why?
The Stephenson Memorial Hall redevelopment and the Market Square improvements will significantly impact Chesterfield by connecting the town centre with the railway station. Plans around Chesterfield Waterside will further enhance this transformation.
What is your vision for Chesterfield and North Derbyshire in 2030? What do you think the town needs to achieve this?
By 2030, I hope to see pipeline projects like the Stephenson Memorial Hall and the town centre improvements completed. Connecting Chesterfield Station and the town centre will hopefully strengthen our offering and unlock the town’s potential for growth and investment.
