Hide AdChesterfield is a great place to live. I’ve got a Springer Spaniel, so I like to get out around Linacre with him or up to Chatsworth. We have so many great walks out in the peaks too!
I’m all for eating out, and we’ve got lots of great places to go. Casa and Peak Edge Hotel are both really nice places to visit. I like The Peacock at Barlow, Bottle and Thyme in town and CAWA coffee too!
How is your business or organisation becoming more sustainable?
Clear Insurance Management has just started offering an electric car scheme, which I’ve taken advantage of. I’ve got myself a new car, which is saving me a fortune and helping the planet. I love it!

Hide AdWhich upcoming development do you think will have the greatest impact on the town and why?
I think that the regeneration of Chesterfield’s marketplace will draw in a lot of visitor attraction, and I’m also excited about developments that are going on in Staveley. Being from the local area, I think development on the High Street will bring a lot more footfall and be great for local businesses.
What is your vision for Chesterfield and North Derbyshire in 2030? What do you think the town needs to achieve this?
By 2030, I’d like to see Chesterfield as a destination of choice for visitors outside of the area. I think our town has a lot of potential. We’ve got the Peak District just on the doorstep, and with all the investment and development taking place, I’m hopeful we can encourage more people to spend their time here.
