Officers’ charity challenge

Five High Peak police officers are preparing to take on the Three Peaks challenge for charity this weekend.

The officers, PC Winterbottom, PC Pheasey, DC Weston, PC Hunt and Sergeant Pope, will start their challenge at 6am on Saturday morning at Ben Nevis in Scotland before taking on Scafell Pike in England and then ending 24 hours later at Snowdon in Wales.

Their efforts will raise money for the Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust, chosen after a colleague’s father sadly died from the asbestos-related cancer.

The team are hoping to raise at least £1,000 for the charity.

To sponsor the team, visit or use the sponsor form at Buxton Police station.
