Long-serving Norman Haycox has been honoured for his 32-year commitment to Tupton Village Hall by trustees of its management committee.

Norman, 74 was presented with a Rotary watch by Janet HIll, vice-chairman of NE Derbyshire District Council, at the hall’s 40th anniversary celebration.

Voluntary worker Norman is currently treasurer and also does DIY jobs around the hall. He also received a golden hammer in recognition of his talent for running repairs.

Norman lives with his wife Rose on Dale Crescent, Tupton.
