Chesterfield health chiefs say they have created ‘new ways of working’ for more than 30 GP practice workers.
As reported in August, Royal Primary Care (RPC) launched formal talks with its 33 administrative staff.
The news came after it was revealed that RPC was awarded a 15-year contract to run GP practices in Grangewood, Staveley and Inkersall, serving more than 20,000 patients in Derbyshire.
A 30-day consultation ended last week and RPC has revealed that no staff will be made redundant.
An RPC spokesman said: “Thanks to staff and their positive approach to this consultation, we have created an improved structure – with benefits for patients and staff.
“To improve access for patients, there will be maximum numbers of staff on hand at the times when we know they contact us the most. To support staff, we have introduced a new career progression and pay structure. We have tried to be flexible with new shift patterns and all new contracts have been agreed.
“There will not be any redundancies, either voluntary or compulsory, and we are working with just one member of our team who may potentially be redeployed into a different role.
“We are looking forward to adopting these new ways of working over the next month and are confident they will make a difference.”
