Council chiefs in Chesterfield are giving new market traders the opportunity to take stalls for just £10.
The offer is open to people who have not previously been traders to stand at the general market on Friday 15, Saturday 16, Monday 18, Friday 22 or Saturday 23 in May.
The incentive is part of the annual Love Your Local Market Week.
Meanwhile, Chesterfield’s youngsters are being given the opportunity to learn about life as a trader at the children’s market event.
Open to three to 14-year-olds, budding traders can sell their unwanted toys, clothes and books around the town pump in the market place.
Ron Thompson, Chesterfield Borough Council’s markets manager, said: “We are committed to giving new opportunities to trade on the famous Chesterfield market.
“Whether it’s giving new traders the chance to trade for £10 or offering children the opportunity to take part in the children’s market, we’d encourage people to come forward and book now as places are limited.”
