Bolsover’s new police inspector says she is delighted to be at the reigns – and is looking forward to ensuring that the area remains a safe place to live.
Inspector Sally-Anne Nicholson replaces Frank Burns, who has since taken on a new role in the force.
She will oversee policing across the section including in Barlborough, Bolsover, Clowne, Creswell, Pleasley, Shirebrook, Tibshelf, Scarcliffe and Whitwell.
Sally-anne said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the Section Inspector for the Bolsover area.
“I have joined a team of dedicated and highly motivated officers and we are all committed to ensuring that Bolsover Section remains a safe place to live, work and visit.
“We have a team consisting of both reactive officers and Safer Neighbourhood teams dedicated and focused on the residents and visitors to the Bolsover area. By working together we can identify local issues that matter to you and prioritise our efforts.
“I have been welcomed by local officers, partner agencies and members of the public and feel a real sense of community spirit and pride in the area.
“I firmly believe that our style of policing should be based on responding to and working with the community to maintain the safest quality of life.
“We will continue to work closely with local agencies and I ask the community to engage with us, provide intelligence and highlight issues to enable us to target criminals and reduce anti-social behaviour.
