A new bar is set to rise from the ashes of Chesterfield’s former Bar Centro.
The new bar is expected to open at the site of the derelict nightspot, on Holywell Street, later in the year.
Borough council documents show supervisor Benjamin Parr, of BCB Chesterfield Ltd, was granted permission last month to sell alcohol and play music at the premises between the hours of 10am and 1.30am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and between the hours of 10am and 2am on Friday and Saturday.
During a three-month police crackdown between October and December 2013, stings uncovered drug-related activity in Bar Centro and Isis Noir.
Both clubs subsequently closed.
The site of Isis Noir opened in November as a Mexican restaurant called Habernero.
