NANDO’S REVIEW: Quick, tasty and addictive

Having never visited a Nando’s restaurant before, I was unsure what to expect when I went to Chesterfield’s newest establishment.

There was a certain euphoria about the town, however, when it was announced earlier this year that a Nando’s was on its way, and this did give me some confidence in where I was going.

All in all, I was not disappointed and have been back since.

The service at the restaurant is great, while the speed of service is undoubtably quick, almost too quick!

The decor is fairly simple, yet effective, and the staff are both polite and friendly.

There is a nice selection on the menu, which is very much chicken based, but this is expected from a chicken restaurant!

I had the grilled chicken burger, medium spice, with cheese on, accompanied by a corn on the cob and chips. The portion was just enough, and the food was genuinely really nice.

One of the most intriguing things about this restaurant is the fact that it is so addictive.

There is just something about it that means I, and many others, seem to want to go back again and again.

There is no doubt something special about Nando’s, and this could be seen fairly clearly when thousands of people flooded onto the Derbyshire Times website after we announced its opening.

If there was a criticism to be made, and it is hard to find one, then it would be that the restaurant lacked the character that you get from independent outlets. Unfortunately, this is something that comes with big chain outlets, and cannot be helped by the staff that work at the Chesterfield restaurant.

Other than that, the experience was flawless.

As usual, some more vegetarian options would be nice.
