A CHARITY shop in Chesterfield is temporarily closed - with bosses unable to confirm why.
Save the Children on Stephenson Place has a sign on the window saying that, due to unforeseen circumstances, it will be closed until further notice.
Staff were seen inside on Wednesday but would not answer the door.
When asked why the shop had shut, Julia Hall, regional manager, said: “I can’t disclose that to you I’m afraid.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience but we’ll be back open in a couple of weeks or so.”
Save the Children bosses said donations could be taken to its shops in Matlock or Worksop.
Chris Coe, head of retail, said: “Unfortunately the Chesterfield Save the Children shop has had to temporarily close pending an internal issue.
“We hope to resolve this and reopen the shop as soon as possible.”
