Museum recreates life of the Victorians at display

Visitors to Chesterfield Museum can find out about life in Victorian times in an interactive exhibition.

The Victorians runs at the Chesterfield Borough Council run attraction until Saturday May 7.

The exhibition covers different aspects of Victorian life from education, work to having fun.

On display will some of the Victorian objects from the museum collection including Chesterfield made water filters which were used to allow people to get clean drinking water.

There are lots of activities for visitors young and old to try.

Activities include dressing up in Victorian costume, writing on slates or using a Victorian ink pen, playing with Victorian toys and making a small sampler.
