The Edale Team were close by, covering a local mountain challenge and were able to respond quickly to the injured biker, who had sustained a painful dislocation to her right shoulder, they treated her on site with pain relief and provided protection from the wet weather.

Buxton Team members arrived and assisted with the casualty evacuation on a mountain rescue stretcher down a very wet and slippery dale to Castleton Village, to await a land ambulance.

She was then transferred to the Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport for further assessment and treatment.
