Motorists have been suffering delays after a car lost control and crashed into a central reservation on the A61 Dronfield bypass between Chesterfield and Sheffield.
The collision happened about 8.30am, today, Tuesday, November 18, on the northbound carriageway between Bowshaw roundabout, Sheffield, and Whittington Moor, Chesterfield.
A Derbyshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Quite a lot of debris had been left across the carriageway after the collision and it was necessary to impose a lane closure but the road still remained open for other drivers.
“The motorist of a VW Golf is not thought to have suffered life threatening injuries.”
Witnesses to the collision can call Derbyshire Constabulary on 101.
