Most youngsters discharged after bus smash

ALL but two of the children involved in the school bus smash have been discharged from hospital.

In total 18 were taken to A&E at Chesterfield Royal Hospital after the TM Travel double decker hit a railway bridge on Works Road, Barrow Hill, at about 8.30am on Tuesday morning - taking its roof straight off.

The hospital youngsters has confirmed that all but two have been sent home.

Those who remain are expected to stay in overnight and may need stitches. Counselling is also being offered.
