More parents applying online

Techno-savvy parents are being praised for embracing technology by completing their secondary school applications online.

This year, 99.4 per cent of parents made their secondary application online.

This is up from 98.5 per cent last year.

Only 41 parents completed a paper form.

Councillor Jim Coyle, deputy cabinet member for children and young people, said: “It’s a very impressive figure and we are grateful to parents for using the online application system.
