Men make off with cash from shop

Police are appealing for information after an incident at a shop in Alfreton.

At about 1.20pm on Tuesday, two men went into Cooplands, on High Street, and asked the shop assistant for cash from the till.

She initially declined, but the men continued to ask until the assistant felt compelled to hand over a quantity of money.

One man is described as white, 6ft tall and in his 20s. He was wearing a cap and a dark short jacket. The other is white, 5ft 9in tall, and in his 20s with a stocky build and spotty complexion.
