Men assaulted by dog walker

Police are appelaing for information after a dog walker assaulted two men.

On Sunday, August 26 between 3.15am and 3.35am two men were walking home along Chapel Street, in Ripley when they were approached by a man walking his dog.

The man with the dog started to shout at the men, he then struck one of them with a metal dog lead on the head. He also struck the second man on his stomach with the lead.

The man was described as white, in his late 20’s to early 30’s, about 5ft 9ins tall with a shaven head wearing white tracksuit bottoms. His dog was a white Staffordshire bull terrier with a brown patch on its ear.
