Social care students at Chesterfield College have been meeting with the Alzheimer’s Society to hold memory cafes for the elderly.
The students and members of the charity met in the Saints Parish Centre in Chesterfield for a quiz, memory game and reminiscence activities.
A spokesman for Chesterfield College said: “It’s been successful and enjoyable for both the students and the elderly.
“It’s a great link to the community for college and the positive feedback we’ve had is encouraging.”
Last Wednesday, to mark the end of the project, a celebration event saw balloons with memories of a loved one attached to them sent up into the sky.
