There will be an extraordinary meeting of Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Charles Strategic Governance Board (SGB) on Thursday to agree the way forward regarding Derbyshire’s first–ever joint police and fire and rescue service headquarters.

If agreed, a board meeting of the newly formed Limited Liability Partnership will take place immediately after SGB to appoint the contractor for the enabling works.

The brand new building is being specially designed to enable closer working between the two emergency services and to allow them to adapt to the changing needs of the future.

The meeting will be held at 2.30pm at the Police headquarters, Butterley Hall, in Ripley.
