Matlock pupil raises cash in memory of grandma

A Matlock student has raised £125 for cancer in memory of her grandma, who recently died of the disease.

Annie Gardom, 15, hosted a bake sale at Highfields School, which friends and staff helped to bake for, to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The event was in memory of Annie’s grandma, Margaret Gardom, of Hurst Farm, who died because of cancer recently.

“I wanted to give something back to Marie Curie for the fantastic treatment and care they care gave to my Grandma,” said Annie.
