The Pye Hill and District Male Voice Choir will be performing in concert at All Saints Church, Smedley Street, Matlock as part of the church’s harvest festival celebrations.
The choir is one of the oldest male voice choirs in the country dating back to 1903 and the concert is part of a busy year of performances, including a successful tour to Croydon, Surrey in May.
The concert will include: Every Time I Feel the Spirit, My Lord What a Morning, Love Changes Everything, Kings of Swing Medley, Begin the Beguine, Ain’t Misbehavin, Moonlight Serenade, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Pedro the Fisherman, Unchained Melody, Rhythm of Life, 76 Trombones, Red Morning, You Raise Me Up, Nice and Easy Medley, Magic Moments, And I Love You So, Catch A Falling Star, Gwahoddiad, Speed Your Journey and Softly as I Leave You.
Solos to be performed include Old Man River from Showboat and You’ve Got to Pick a Pocket or Two from Oliver.
The audience will also have an opportunity to sing along to Jerusalem and You’ll Never Walk Alone.
Everyone is welcome and entry is by payment on the door.
