MATLOCK: Cyclist airlifted to hospital after collision with motorbike

A road cyclist had to be airlifted to hospital following a collision with a motorcycle.

The collision happened on Slack Hill , close to the junction with Wirestone Lane, at 11.43am yesterday (Sunday).

The 64-year-old cyclist, from Heague, sustained a broken leg in the crash and was taken to North Staffordshire Hospital by the air ambulance.

He has a bad leg break but is reported to be “comfortable” now.

The motorcyclist, a 32-year-old man from Clowne, suffered a wrist injury but was not seriously hurt.
