Chesterfield magistrates’ court originally heard how Brian Worthy, 65, of Brentwood Road, Bamford, Hope Valley, admitted committing the offences. His case had been adjourned until October 21, at Derby Crown Court, but it was transferred to Nottingham Crown Court for the same day where it was further adjourned to a new date for medical reports.

Worthy has pleaded guilty to causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity between June 1 and 5, and guilty to the same offence with another girl on July 17. He has also pleaded guilty to intentionally exposing his genitals to a woman in a park in Bamford on July 2. The magistrates’ court had heard how the offences were new and Worthy may struggle in custody.
