Man seriously injured after glass is thrown in Chesterfield bar

A 23-year-old man has suffered serious head injuries after a glass was thrown at him in a Chesterfield bar.

A fight broke out between two men inside Aruba, in Corporation Street, at around 1.45am on Saturday, April 16.

Once the fight had finished, one of the men involved tried to break a glass on the bar but was stopped by staff.

As he went to leave the premises, he picked up a glass, throwing it across the dance floor, hitting a 23-year-old man on the side of his head.

The victim suffered serious injuries to his ear which required stitches and is currently experiencing a loss of hearing.

The man who threw the glass is described as white, 6ft tall and well built. He had a shaved head and a full beard.

He may have been wearing a blue t-shirt.
