Man left unconscious after street brawl

Police investigating two assaults that took place in Chesterfield town centre in the early hours of the morning are appealing for information.

At around 1.45am on Friday, October 19 a fight involving five men took place on Holywell Street that left one man unconscious.

It followed two earlier incidents in the town centre, one in Association Bar where a man was hit on the head with a bottle and an assault inside Moo Bar where a man was punched.

Police believe the incidents may be linked.

Four men were arrested on in connection with these incidents and have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
