Man charged with four offences after incident leaves police officer injured

A man has been charged with four offences after two police officers were allegedly attacked with a glass bottle.

Police received a report of a man acting suspiciously in the Nottingham Road area of Eastwood at around 11.15pm on Friday, July 6, 2018.

The two officers were attacked as they led a man away from the scene, with one officer being kicked in the stomach.

ee Wright, 34, of Moon Crescent, Eastwood, was arrested and subsequently charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, assault by beating, affray and criminal damage.

He is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, July 9.

Nottinghamshire Police released pictures of the injuries one officer received to her head.
