Man assaulted during attempted robbery in Dronfield

Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery in Dronfield during which a man was assaulted.

The incident occurred at around 10.40am on Sunday April 3 on Hallowes Court in Dronfield when a 53-year-old man was approached by another man who demanded his keys and his wallet.

The victim refused and the two men ended up struggling with each other. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Nothing was stolen and the suspect ran away in the direction of Cemetery Road.

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the attack or who saw the suspect running off.

He was white, about six feet tall and was wearing black clothing.
