Man assaulted and robbed on Chesterfield cycle path

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Chesterfield in which a man was kicked on the floor and had his bag stolen.

On Tuesday, November 8 at 7.10pm a man was on the cycle path near to Wharf Lane in Chesterfield when he noticed two men walking towards him as he approached the bridge.

The men knocked the man to the ground and then kicked him. They stole his bag which contained a wallet, a mobile phone and Christmas gift cards.

The men then ran off towards Casa hotel.

The men were described as white and were wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and black tops.
