A MAN has been arrested after police raided a house in Brimington and found suspected cocaine.
Officers from the Brimington and Tapton Safer Neighbourhood Team carried out the warrant at the address on Heywood Street, on Friday, October 7. Officers seized an amount of suspected cocaine and cash.
A 31 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to supply. He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police raided the property after receiving information from the community.
Sgt Lee Welsby, who is in charge of neighbourhood policing in the Staveley area, said: “We take all reports of suspected drug use seriously and will act upon information from the community wherever possible.”
