Officers investigating a robbery at a Derbyshire post office have arrested a man this afternoon.
A 29-year-old man, who lives locally, was detained at 2.40pm by a police dog handler after police and members of the public chased a man across fields and streets in Hilcote.
He will be questioned by officers this evening.
Police are still appealing for information about the robbery at 11.45am today when a man walked into the post office on New Road and demanded money.
No weapon was seen and no-one was injured but the robber made off with notes and bags of pound coins.
