Man and woman arrested after suspected class A drugs are found in Wirksworth home

At about 2.25pm on Tuesday, September 8, police executed a warrant at the property on Recreation Road.

Officers found a quantity of suspected class A drugs and associated paraphernalia inside. Mobile phones were also seized.

A 30-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man were arrested on suspicion with intent to supply class A drugs. They were bailed pending further police inquiries.

PC Dan Mitchell, of Derbyshire police, said: “Drugs activity will not be tolerated in our community and we will work hard to bring those responsible to justice.

“I would encourage residents to report suspected drugs activity to us on 101 as we do act positively on the intelligence provided to help crack down on this behaviour."
