Man allegedly run over by BMW outside Derbyshire pub


Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly run over by a car.

Officers said two men were involved in an altercation outside the Hop Inn, in Openwoodgate, Belper.

One of the men is alleged to have driven his BMW car at the other man, knocking him to the ground.

The victim suffered grazes and was taken to Royal Derby Hospital to be checked over after the incident.

A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and has been bailed pending further inquiries.

The incident happened at about 7.10pm on Friday, March 6.
