Man, 73, allegedly assaulted by cyclist after asking him not to ride on pavement

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 73-year-old man was allegedly punched in the face by a cyclist.

The victim was walking along Manor Road in Brimington when he saw a man on a bike riding along the pavement and asked him to cycle on the road.

He was then punched in the mouth by the man riding the bicycle and fell to the ground.

The incident occurred between 10.15am and 10.40am on February 7.

The offender is described as white, aged in his late 40s, 6ft tall, and was wearing a white helmet, blue jogging bottoms, a green fleece and black shoes.
