Major north east Derbyshire road closed due to 'police incident'

The A61 High Street in Clay Cross was closed for a number of hours yesterday evening.

A number of police cars attended the scene as well as a paramedic.

A number of readers contacted the Derbyshire Times on social media about the incident but police have yet to release any information about it.

The incident took place just a few hundred yards away from where a woman lost her life after being in collision with a bus in November last year.

More will follow on this incident as soon as we get it.
