People are urged not to miss a trick - or treat - at NE Derbyshire’s markets this Halloween!

Spell-binding family fun will be running at the markets in Killamarsh, Eckington and Clay Cross at the end of the month – the latest in a series of events organised as part of NE Derbyshire District Council’s Marketing the Markets campaign.

Spooky street entertainment, face painting, creepy crawly petting zoos, prize draws and a range of stalls – plus a chance to meet Harry Potter and friends - are among the free attractions on offer at the events. There will also be a children’s fancy dress competition, to be judged at 11am each site.§

Killamarsh – Thursday 27 October, 9am to 2pm on Sheffield Road.

Eckington – Friday 28 October, 9am to 2pm on High Street / Market Street

Clay Cross – Saturday 29 October, 9am to 3pm on Market Street

Cllr Pat Kerry, Member with responsibility for the Economy, said: “This campaign is all about encouraging people to rediscover their local markets, which are valuable assets to our communities.
