Lorry driver arrested for drink driving

A lorry driver was arrested for drink driving after hitting a wall in South Normanton.

Following the collision at around noon on June 27, in Market Street, the badly damaged wall collapsed and fell on to a 58-year-old woman.

She was taken to King’s Mill Hospital with minor injuries.

The lorry driver failed a breath test at the scene. He was arrested and charged with drink driving and the HGV was recovered.
