A Derbyshire road is closed after reports of a disturbance.
Somercotes Hill in Somercotes is closed following a police incident earlier this morning.
Derbyshire Constabulary say a number of officers remain in the area while an investigation into the circumstances of the incident is carried out.
Police were called to the area at around 1.40am.
A spokesman added: “Please avoid the area and plan alternative routes as you will not be able to get through.”
Derbyshire Times reporter Alana Roberts is at the scene and has said drones are being used by police in relation to the incident.
There has been no confirmation about the cause of the incident or whether anyone has been arrested or injured.

1.35pm: Police issue update as four men arrested
Four men have been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Somercotes in the early hours of this morning.
Police and ambulance crews were called to reports of a disturbance near the Co-op in Somercotes Hill at about 1.40am on Thursday, November 25.
Two men were found injured at the scene and taken to hospital.
Four men were arrested a short time later in connection with the incident and remain in custody.
An investigation into the circumstances is ongoing and people living in Somercotes will see an increased police presence throughout the day. Somercotes Hill remains closed.
Derbyshire police say anyone with concerns is encouraged to speak to officers as they moved to reassure people that this is believed to be an isolated incident.

Posting on Facebook, they said: “As most of you will be aware somercotes hill is completely shut for the time being this means we are in able to make any deliveries too that part until it is re opened. We will update everyone once we know anything else .”

Derbyshire police say they were called to Somercotes Hill following reports of a disturbance at around 1.40am this morning (November 25).
A cordon remains in place this afternoon, starting at the junction with Langley Avenue and covering the grounds of St Thomas Church.
Officers are currently patrolling the scene and are believed to be using drones.
A police car and a police van are parked either side of the road within the cordon.
