LETTER: Thanks for help after road accident

On Saturday June 17, at about 9.30am, I was involved in a road traffic collision on the Lockoford Lane (Tesco) roundabout and came off my bicycle.

I would like to express my gratitude to the paramedics and all the members of the public who came to my assistance.

Many of those helping me were off-duty doctors who just happened to be going about their weekend business.

I have always held the NHS and its workers in high regard and this only serves to affirm my belief that the service is staffed by kind and selfless individuals.

I was unable to thank all those who assisted due to my injuries and would like to use your letters page to do so. If you were one of the people who came to my aid, please accept my heartfelt thanks.
