LETTER: No improvement for lives of local people

In view of the cuts to services that the residents of Derbyshire have suffered in recent years (whoever is to blame) and the even more drastic cuts forecast in last week's Derbyshire Times, could I appeal to the county council, through your newspaper, that the strapline 'Improving life for local people' used on its publicity is removed as it is no longer appropriate or indeed true.
