LETTER: Disgust at only being allowed one ticket for Spireites FA Cup tie

Spireites fans queueing for tickets for their FA Cup clash.

I have been a season ticket holder for almost 20 years at Saltergate and at the Proact and I am furious at the allocation of the tickets for the Chesterfield v Derby County tie in the FA cup.

I am allowed just one ticket (on my season ticket) for the cup tie at the iPro.

This means I will be expected to sit alone as my current partner does not have a season ticket this year due to tight financial commitments.

As a woman, I do not want to sit with any Tom, Dick or Harry, I want to sit next to my own partner, which effectively means the privilege of buying a season ticket has been wasted.

Yet I know of people WHO ARE NOT season ticket holders who already have tickets. Is this fair?

I have tried to contact the club for two days but feel I am being ignored. I have emailed and left a telephone message but no one has had the decency to reply to me.

I am seriously considering not renewing my ticket next year as I am thoroughly appalled at having to battle for tickets with those who have not even been to a game this season just so I can be seated with my partner. It’s a joke!

Denise Northend.
