Motoring

Jon Thomas Lowe, 35, of St Augustine’s Mount, Chesterfield. Drove a vehicle without due care and attention. Fined £450. Being the driver of a vehicle owing to the presence of which an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to other vehicles and not having given your name and address failed to report the accident at a police station. No separate penalty. Failed to stop after the accident. Fined £700. Must pay a £70 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence also endorsed with ten points. Used a vehicle without insurance. Fined £450.

James Spry, 29, of Roecar Close, Old Whittington, Chesterfield. Exceeded the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £110 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for three years.

Gerald David Bentley, 69, of Rushen Mount, Chesterfield. Drove a vehicle on a restricted road at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. Fined £50 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.

Daniel Rawson, 25, of Annesley Lane, Selston. Used a vehicle without insurance. Discharged absolutely. Drove a vehicle while carrying a child in the rear of the vehicle of or over the age of three years but under the age of 14 years who was not wearing a seat belt. Fined £102 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs.

Derek Cresswell, 68, of Maple Avenue, Ripley. Drove a vehicle while not wearing a seatbelt. Fined £200 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Used a vehicle without a test certificate. No separate penalty.

Assault

Mark Richard Sowter, 29, of Dale Road, Matlock. Two counts of assault. Committed to prison for 16 weeks. Restraining order until November, 2015. Must pay £50 compensation and a £30 victim surcharge. Commission of a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence which was subject to a conditional discharge of damaging a vehicle wing mirror valued at £150. No separate penalty. Dealt with for an original offence which was subject to a conditional discharge of using threatening behaviour. No separate penalty.

Carly Marie Woolley, 25, of Welbeck Street, Creswell. Failed to comply with a community order by failing to complete a number of hours of specified work and failed to keep in touch with the responsible officer. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offences of two assaults which were subject to a community order. Committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 12 months with a thinking skills programme and supervision.

Adam Matthew Devine, 27, of Grangewood, Chesterfield. Contravened a direction given by a constable under the Anti-social Behaviour Act that as part of a group he was required to disperse. Committed to prison for two weeks consecutively to 12 weeks imposed on an activated suspended sentence. Commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence for an offence of theft. No adjudication. Joshua luke Yates, 18, of St John’s Road, Unstone, Dronfield. Possession 2.7grammes of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B. No separate penalty. Possession of 1.5grammes of cannabis. Fined £202 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
