LADY Manners School claims it has enjoyed a very successful year with many strong performances at Advanced Level for Year 13 students.
There were 174 students who completed their studies this year. Three students actually achieved the highest grades of A or A* in five full A Level subjects – these are Rachael Clough, Ruth Edmonds and Christopher Payne.
Particular mention must be made for Ruth Edmonds within this group because she actually achieved the A* grade with all five of her subjects, which is a really tremendous achievement.
Nine further students achieved four Grade A or A* passes within their full A level results and they are Michael Beale, Kate Bruce, Grace Dammery-Quigley, Helena Dawson, Laura Edmondson, Jasmine Leng, Naomi Mawhood, Adam Sattaur and Madeleine Tudor Jones.
Another eleven students achieved three Grade A or A* passes within their full A Level results – Thomas Baker, Callum Bellhouse, Sophie Bradbury, Harriet Clugston, Hannah Essam, Millie Goodwin, James Gregory-Campeau, Megan Holmes, Lydia Ibbotson, Kyle Robinson and Yasmin Spencer.
Students at Lady Manners School have performed well overall with many achieving the top grades.
More than half of all the grades achieved are in the higher categories of A*, A or B. In addition to the students mentioned already, there are many other good performances at a whole variety of levels and lots of students have achieved the grades that they needed so that they are able to take their next important step.
Headteacher Duncan Meikle has commented on the A level results. He said: “Lots of students have performed particularly well this year.
“There is no doubt that the results overall are thoroughly well deserved. Congratulations to students and staff who have had to work very hard to achieve these excellent successes.”
