This adorable lamb is the newest addition to the Sheldon family.

Born on August 2, Cutie is the latest born lamb that farmer Geoff Sheldon has ever known,

Sarah Naylor, 36, Mr Sheldon’s daughter said: “We’ve had one born in June before but never this late.”

Cutie’s birth came as a surprise to everyone in the family, as they told us that they had no idea the mother was pregnant.

Ms Naylor said: “We usually notice but we had no idea this time.”

Even after shearing the sheep, it still hadn’t become clear to the farmers she was pregnant.

Lambing season tends to occur between the months of March and April and the gestation process takes 5 months.

The family run Manor Farm on Main Road, Shirland, and also run a farm shop on site.

Cutie will be kept as a pet by the family, which was to the delight of Sarah’s daughters Kelsie and Tierney Naylor, aged 8 and 4.
