Largest Blue John collection on sale at Antiques for Everyone fair
Choice pieces from the biggest collection of Derbyshire Blue John to ever go on sale will be unveiled at the Antiques for Everyone summer fair.
The collection includes a museum-quality ormolu-mounted Blue John urn and cover expected to fetch more than £30,000.
Andrew Elliot from The Antique’s Bazaar in Buxton is an exhibitor at the fairin the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from July 23 to 26.
He began working in a Blue John mine and was later apprenticed to a master craftsman to learn how to fashion the material into ornaments and jewellery.
