'Large-headed dog' wounds Yorkshire terrier in Brimington attack

A police investigation is underway after a dog attack in the Chesterfield area left a Yorkshire terrier seriously wounded.

Police are appealing for information after a Yorkshire Terrier was bitten by another dog on Thistle Park, off Station Road in Brimington.

The incident took place at about noon on Thursday March 24

Derbyshire police said: "The Yorkshire Terrier suffered a broken leg and severe bleeding but is now recovering after extensive treatment at the vets.

"The attacking dog was with a white man, who was aged between 40 - 45-years-old. The dog is described as being large, cream, black and grey and part terrier. It had a large head."
