Knight of the Realm opens Calow school fair
The fair was attended by a bumper crowd of people from the local community to enjoy stalls, games and festive activities.
There was also a visit from Chesterfield Football Club mascot, singer Tanya Adele and Father Christmas. More than £1,500 was raised, which will be used to purchase state of the art computer equipment to benefit pupils at the School.

Hide AdHeadteacher Martin Thacker said: “It is fantastic to welcome such a high profile and prestigious visitor such as Sir David to our community. He was able to witness first-hand the wonderful support our school enjoys from the local area.
“Everyone appeared to have a lovely time at the fair. To raise this amount of money is testimony to the hard work and dedication of all involved.”
