A jobs fair is to be held in Chesterfield town centre.
Employment and training opportunities will be discussed at the free event, which will take place at the Assembly Rooms, upstairs at Chesterfield Market Hall, from 1pm on Friday.
Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins will open the fair with a short presentation and there will be a variety of organisations to meet during the afternoon.
The event has been organised by Mr Perkins, Jobcentre Plus and the Career Transition Partnership.
They are particularly keen to support ex-armed forces personnel back into work.
Mr Perkins said: “It is still a difficult market for the unemployed in Chesterfield, but there are employers who have vacancies and firms who want to help develop our talent, I hope that this jobs fair will assist some people to find work and look forward to meeting employers and people and helping to bring the two together.”
A limited number of free stands are remaining.
